This cosy chocolate porridge is like a hug in a bowl – rich, creamy and deeply nourishing. Perfect for slow mornings, chilly days, or whenever you want breakfast to feel comforting and indulgent (without being heavy). Packed with seeds, fibre and healthy fats, it keeps you full and energised while satisfying those chocolate cravings in the most wholesome way.

Ingredients (serves 1)

  • ½ cup jumbo oats

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp mixed seeds (flax, pumpkin, sunflower, linseed, sesame)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 scoop Freja chocolate powder

  • 1 cup almond milk (plus extra if needed)

To finish

  • 1–2 tbsp runny almond butter

  • 1 tsp cacao nibs

  • Honey, to taste (optional)

Method

Option 1: If you have time

  1. Add the oats, chia seeds, mixed seeds, cinnamon, chocolate powder and almond milk to a saucepan.

  2. Cook gently over a low heat, stirring often, for 8–12 minutes until thick, creamy and rich.

  3. Add a splash more almond milk if needed to reach your desired consistency.

Option 2: For busy mornings (overnight soak)

  1. Mix all ingredients (except toppings) in a bowl or saucepan.

  2. Cover and soak overnight in the fridge.

  3. In the morning, warm gently on the hob, adding a little extra almond milk if needed.

To serve

Swirl through:

  • Loads of runny almond butter

  • A sprinkle of cacao nibs

  • A drizzle of honey if you like it sweeter

Enjoy warm and cosy ✨
